So the skeleton's motto reads, "Thus, now, what once was fair," or, "What once was beautiful, is now... like this."

I would be quite surprised if lot 381 were genuine. I can remember seeing quite a number of these in the late 60s, all in beautiful condition and all reputedly originating in Hungary sometime in the 1840s.
