I usually do 1 or 2 boxes of quarters a year to try to fill the last holes in my ATB album and there were a few mre empty holes now so I went and got a box of quarters.

Out of the $500 / 2,000 coins in the box there were only 77 ATB and 16 Bicentennials and no silver

I wasn't expecting any silver as I average one every other box but c'mon with the ATB. I've been to dump banks and the tellers tray had full rolls of last Arches and Sand Dunes last fall. Where did they all go in 5 months?

Jack, I'm the OPPOSITE of you. I find money on the ground, and I don't find it as interesting finding an ATB than a State Quarter or older design. Maybe I'll fill a roll with ATB's and you might get it if you hunt quarters again.

Ouch.

But I cannot say I am surprised. Your ratio is still better than my ATB finds in circulation.

I wish everyone else would find ATB's! I find them CONSTANTLY here and I would say about 10% of my quarters are ATB at this point! Either way, I will put all my ATB's in rolls with nothing else so anyone experiencing a shortage might get lucky!
