to the forum. If I had to put a grade on this I would mark it as a MS63+. The strike is overall really nice. There are some rubs on the on the Obverse side. In front of the face,on the face, and behind the hair noticeably. On the reverse side you have that black spot underneath the "S" in States. The mirror fields have some chatter going on as well. If the interior fields on both the obverse and reverse were as well defined and free of marks as the outside of the fields near the edges of the coin then this coin would be a easy MS65 grade. Because of all those little rubs, marks, etc it would knock it down a couple of points.

I believe MS63 is appropriate for this one.

OK thanks :)

Which of these coins is the nicest?
I am considering sending 1 of them to PCGS/NGC to get them graded, but am unsure which one has the best chance to get the highest grade... :)

I would say coin A on the left is better. Fewer rubs on the face and the reverse is cleaner

I think B. There is a large scratch behind the right side of the eagle. (that is our left)

Coin B seems better to me. It looks like it has more details on the eagle's feathers and a few parts on the person's hair.

If I'm choosing one to send it then I would send B. Just looks a tad better to my eye.
