Giori Press Test Note - Total Population?

JDRMCB Pillar of the Community United States 616 Posts	Posted 05/24/2015 5:49 pm I recently acquired this PCGS graded 68PPQ Giori Test Print Note from the Edgar L. Pigman Hoard in an online auction. I don't even collect currency, but when I saw this note, I thought it was very interesting and unique, so I had to have it! I had never seen anything like it before so I placed a modest bid and won! I have researched these notes extensively, yet I have not been able to find a total population figure for these notes. Does anyone know how many of these were printed? Or population figures for each grade? In particular the number of notes graded Superb Gem New 68PPQ? Any and all information on these interesting test notes would be greatly appreciated! Jimjumper Valued Member United States 331 Posts	Posted 05/24/2015 10:22 pm From what I have been reading, there is a new book coming out on these notes. It is being written by the guy that owns Emporium Currency. His name escapes me at the moment but he runs a regular multi-page ad in Banknote Reporter. There is bit of info in his ad about Giori notes in his ad and he has been hinting about a book for some time now. I'm looking at his ad and he only lists a phone number but he lives on the show circuit and should be easy to get a hold of. Report this Post to the Staff

I do know there are only a very few and they were all sold from my grandfather's estate, Edgar Pigman, if you find anything out I would love to know as I never got the chance to meet him Report this Post to the Staff
