There's two ends to this candle. As a wildlife biologist consultant, I dreaded U.S. Government contracts. The slowest organization to pay for services rendered with/for whom I ever worked, the U.S. would often not send a payment for six to eight MONTHS after I submitted a pay voucher (bill). Made my cash flow something terrible, so usually I would have to obtain an accounts receivable loan to be able to pay my employees. The upside for contracting with the U.S. Gov'mint was that contracts got us into some of the greatest wildernesses in the United States.
