When shipping a die, would you not have protection on the face? It should have been thrown in the garbage not on ebay. just my opinion

Ok guys, be nice! LOL
I have a box full of them from my dies. I cover them in a different manner. I like the plastic caps. Seems like junk but maybe not to the next guy. But still, I see a $5 item here.

Mine are for sale! $5,000.00 each!

Seriously, you will sometimes find strike through errors with some of this wax retained. So there is some educational value here.

Over to the right of the coin, is that wax? It was on the coin? The coin is well struck. This might have been melted over the coin later. What thinks you?

Yes it was totally stuck to the coin when I found it in a circulation roll. Its quite thick, very smooth and flexable. It feels like some sort of plastic. I thought it was odd and put it away, somewhere..

Here is what plastic die caps look like. These were on 1/4 ounce gold medallion dies. They have other uses to.
