I do like the educational angle here. If you are going to learn about money, something as volatile as the bit coin is sure to be a good lesson.

However, I think the bigger lesson for them will be discovering how much their text books depreciate over a school term.

Considering a bitcoin is currently $237.15 US dollars, I'm curious what is going to be in these vending machines?

I thought it was referring to a machine to sell bitcoins, making "a printer and paper" the answer to your question.

Now if it means machines that take bitcoins, it would make for a very expensive snack. Unless bitcoins are fractional.

I've never even heard of Simon Fraser University, but coincidentally, the drummer in my jazz band at the high school (I play trumpet) is named- guess what- Simon Fraser.
