Picked this up and was wondering if it might be a weak strike or even through grease?

It is affected only on the right side of the coin on both OBV and REV.

The rim looks stronger then the devices which is why I was wondering.

Could be just uneven circulation wear but I'm not sure. I'm used to moderns. Maybe uneven PSI on the strike?

Yes Grease Filled Die, these are fairly common in the Two Cent series, I like the die cracks too, very close to retiring this die from use. I've been doing a collection of grease filled two centers for quite awhile now, this one is pretty cool. Usually it's only a letter or two, mostly on the reverse that is missing the strike. This coin has an extremely large amount of obliteration due to grease filling it.
