Is this an error? Any way you look at it this little blotch has a different texture than the rest of the fields.

Pretty much what the camera picked it up as. Grey, it has a satiny finish too it.

I can't tell if it's an "undocumented feature" on the coin, or something foreign stuck to the coin (oil or whatnot), or just tarnish. It's a little early for a 2014 coin to start to tarnish, I'd have thought.

I changes shades with rotation just like the rest of the finish.
