I have found a 1976 silver penny that looks exactly like a regular penny except it has a stamp of the liberty bell and the United States on the face of the coin. Is this rare, worth anything, etc.?
That is what's known as a counterstamp. It's just a stamp that is used on the coin after it is released from the mint. As for the silver color, it is probably just plated. The coin itself is copper. Although these carry no value, they are cool to find. Could you post pictures?
