I tried to find this huge die break in the Zoell catalogues without any luck....although I am missing a catalogues or two.

Anyone recognize this?

The photo does not do the coin justice. The break goes all the way from the 9 to the right hand rim. It also forks down from the stem to the A.

Very sweet, Scg! I can see the cracks clear enough on my screen -- the 1943's have some wonderful ones; you could make a collection of those alone.

I'll try for a better pic tomorrow. Jurassic Park III for now. Definitely a break. As Pennysaver says, there are a lot of 43 breaks. I guess they pushed the dies hard during the war.
