hey guys, I'm thinking of going after a nice toner another member here pointed out to me knowing it was my kind of color! I'm on the fence about it but After initially thinking hoping 23a I have it at 7b... Now heres the question, I found another on ebay (only one aside from vw pics & my cherrypick I can find) and the seller is describing it as only 6 known... How does he know that? I cannot find pop figures for non list coins? ANACS?...anyhow, my auction ends in about 40mins from posting this. if the pop is that low I'm thinking it might be a good thing to get this guy out of the wild?

Hmmm, maybe I should dave. I remember coming across them a while ago but didn't really give them a though. Is that where the non list pop numbers can be had?

Update... my snipe bid of $240 was no bueno. Oh well, it was only ms63 and the toning didn't dictate much more than a $200 premium to me

Thanks for the link dollar. I just realized I forgot it. And I didn't even notice the 1500. Maybe it's time for a contest or maybe at 2000?

Ohhhhh Dave's... how did I do on attribution; did I get her right at 7b? You can see what I was working with and how, for a millisecond, hoped 23a

Well, it's consistent with what evidence I can dig up for 7B, but the clash just isn't the right place for 23A.

No biggie. The price was into 65 territory anyway.

Ya SD, the two big flags for me were the line on the neck clash which is slightly lower down the jaw bend on the 23a & what sealed it for 7b was the wing to igwt clash line, how it starts by hanging a hard right then up.
Rest in Peace

Well, the hammer price confirms it's not a 23A.

I think you have it correct at 7B. Too bad the photos of the ANACS coin are not useful to help verify.

D700, 23a was just a starting point and quickly set aside. The color and unique pattern were my buying points.

SD, I didnt think you would like this one due to the stripe pattern like my ms64 album / tape duel-sided stripe toner I posted a while back.

I don't, really, but the toning is plainly album-related and original. Not a premium coin to me, unlike bag toners.

Only one of those types originates with the Mint.
