Coop, Ken,

The RPM looks doubled inside the main MM, not tripled, but I could be wrong. Thanks. Jeff

Kak,
It shows what might be tripling in the RPM Book. I really can't see it on any of my coins. Maybe the one in the book is and EDS.

Have neither you nor coop examined this RPM specimen? I can send it to you if you want. Jeff

Jeff,
I'm quite sure of what it is and would not need to see it but thanks for offering.

Coop, your link goes to a 1964-D cent. The coin in this thread is a 1960-D. I think you meant to post this link elsewhere.

What might be more helpful is to look at coppercoins and try to copy those two dies marker images. That might show a set of die scratches that might help a lot more. (keep in mind the die scratches that fade might now have flattened, but next to devices or inside the devices they might still show) Then I could get a better idea of which one it is. A great image of the date and mint mark area would help a lot also. Then we could compare the size of the mint marks better.

This is what I use:
1960-D/D-North-Lincoln-Cent

Thanks for the last image. It showed me what I needed to see on your coin. The inside marks of the RPM was what I needed to see. Your coin is 1960D-1MM-016.

The double line inside the mint mark confirms it.
The extra images from all helped with my determination.
