I ran across several old ANACS certifications I have. Are these worth anything for their nostalgia value? Is the grading then the same as now? Or is this PF-65 now a PF-62? or PF-67?

I would say the grading is fairly accurate with a slant to the conservative side. Some of these go for crazy money. nlp

Their grading on these was pretty strict. I have not heard of any premium for these though.

That was the last generation of ANACS certficates. Used from some time in 1987, to very late in 1989. ANACS 10.

In my experience these are collectible. Some have a premium and some don't, depending on the coin, and condition. I think the early flips were pvc, and some coins had a little pvc damage from storage. The grades were usually correct.

Yes, but note the polyfilm sack. They also came with a little note saying the flip was not recommended for long term storage....

I collect them today, and still buy them when I can find them.

This dates me (xerox copy of a certificate issued to one of my Morgans in the 80's).

I was in the United States Air Force and stationed in Montana. The old time Montana silver dollar collectors aided me in the hobby.

My silver dollar grading skill set was self-taught and I used the inventory of the Montana silver dealers to hone my skill set.

I would send coins to ANACS based on my grading opinion. The certificate was only a grading validation document that I could easily re-sell the coins to dealers out of state (this was the non-internet period).

This coin was PL on the reverse only. Cherry picked for $35. This coin was later sold via Steve Ivy auctions (now Heritage Auctions) for a tidy profit to aid in paying for my tuition for the first of four academic degrees.
