Just looking at a proof set I got today and I got 3 different sets 2 look normal but this one has a dime with a weird Eye I'm not sure what it is any help appreciated. And I tried opening the set to get better pictures but I will have t literally break this one if I do that.

It does look a bit strange. Does anyone know if there is a doubled eye variety for this date?

This is cool. I'd really like to see a normal 1988-S proof dime but aside from that I think this could be a new doubled die. If it turns out to be I may be interested in running it in Numismatic News.

Ugh I hate saying it but at least I can admit it . It looks to be my mistake Using the 10x loupe I can only see it on one coin Using the microscope I can see it on both so I'm thinking it is just a treatment thing but it looks like they all have it just some more prevalent then others here is a 2nd coin same year and you can see it clearly with the microscope
