I had strongly doubts about that quarter 1915,that's a counterfeit,but this double eagle has tool mark also.Anyway better ask your opinion)!

Looks good to me. The crack is actually a good sign for it to be authentic. The depression just looks like a hit. The eye gets me, though it could be a die chip. I see no typical characteristics of counterfeits on this coin. In fact, the luster and the contact marks make this coin look impeccably genuine.

I guess finding out your 1915 quarter eagle was counterfeit is making you cast doubt on the rest of your gold collection?

It is as real as the day it was struck at the mint . Would not worry about this coin for two seconds. Die crack as mentioned is a GOOD indicator

Better check if they have some marks like this.
I have a dollar piece with a mark,but my "evestigetion" shows,the coin is ok:)

If you want an official opinion, send it to PCGS or NGC; the grading fee is worth the peace of mind.
