I saw this when it was first listed and I fell in love with it. Now don't give me a lecture about how bad holed coins are; I bought this for my type set, which is full of damaged, high-grade specimens that I could not afford otherwise. Sure they are harder to sell, but When I see my type set, I want to be able to see the details of the type represented, not just a blank slug that cost nearly as much and will give me even less enjoyment.

Now I will appreciate comments as to the coin's quality and value compared to what I paid for it.

First thought is it is a lot cheaper than a Good non-holed Seated dollar! I see your point about the better details with a hold than not. Nice looking coin for the price! Can't believe it is still that expensive with a hold though... that will probably be the last coin I get for my type set.

I am no expert on coins but I say that's it's about 15K to 30K if you can get the hole repaired. With the hole it's probably 5K to 10K. Please do not hate like I said I am absolutely no expert on coins so if I am inaccurate I am sorry.

Unfortunately, it gets a details grade after you fix the hole :( I wish there was a safe way to fix this!

Nice coin

Coincat, we do not hate here.

With the hole, I may be able to get $200-250 if I choose to sell. Repaired, the coin will still be worth the same.

Without the hole, it is worth $700-1000. I figured it was worth a shot.

You could have done worse. However, it fits your set so be happy.

Sure, the hole would bother me since it would not fit my set. I have no other holed or damaged coins, but my technical grade is lower, which means we both buy what we can afford.
