I have a 3 leg buffalo replica for sale on ebay. It ends in one day and 9 hours. I was not able to fit Replica into the title was only to get Repl and in the title I clearly stated this is a copy. and the images it clearly shows the words copy on it. Now. I was expecting to get boutn $20 for it but someone has approached me through the ebay messaging offering $100 straight. I am stuck in an ethical dilema in taking him up and not asking if he has read the auction completely. The images are crisp clear and the copy stamp[ is not obstrcuted at all. here's my description used:
quote:

Here's a very beautiful Gem BU copy 1937 D 3 Leg Buffalo nickel. It's a great hole filler and the stamp on it is hardly noticeable in hand. Bid on this great replica of the world famous 1937 D Buffalo nickel. The coin pictured is the one that you will receive.

So, should I just run with the $100 offer or just ignore him and stick around to see where the auction bidding ends at? It's currently at $18 which is more than what I thought it would end up around at.

Sleaklight,

You need to advise the offeror once again that this is a replica/copy. He/she is either ignorant of that fact (even though it's in the auction) or they want the item regardless. If they are ignorant, you've saved yourself from processing a return and potential negative, but if they want the item regardless, you will not deter them.

lol this guy found my phone # and called me. Sounded like he was still half asleep and I told him it is a replica and he backed out sort of. He like oh Oh oh uhmm and them mumbled something and said he would talk to me online. Not sure how people miss that in the description and don't see the copy stamp on it? [:p]

Some people just can't read. The only thing I'm worried about is that whoever buys it is going to turn around and sell it as a real one on ebay.

age old axiom: "If you have to ask, the answer is, "no."
