I wonder if we could come up with a somewhat valid calculation of the melt value of the coins (setting aside the value of the jar). I would LOVE to see this guy get his "jars" bought out for less than melt.

An awful lot of money to be throwing around... comparable to those bank wrapped silver dollar rolls one sees.

These remind me all too much of the cent rolls on ebay that just happen to have a gold coin on the end...

What's discouraging, though not surprising, is that this sort of "unsearched" thing (bags, rolls, jars) has been going on in paper and now internet media since I was a kid in the 50s. There's always someone new coming along to take the bait. It's essentially a criminal act, and a stain on our hobby.

Actually, the old version. Before Season 19 we actually allowed the use of live auctions. For fun, go back and look through some of the old ones.
