Can anyone help me to app. date this medal? I have found a similar examples on some ebay auctions, but all they are enamelled. Diametar is about one and a half (1,5) inches or 38mm (3,8cm).

Well, United states Gymnastics Federation is what became USA Gymnastics, and is the governing body of gymnastics in the US. The change over took place in 1993, and USGF was founded in 1963. It appears to be the standard medal we were supplied to give out at officially sanctioned meets. There were gold colored, silver, and the rest were bronze looking. No idea of the actual metallic composition. A1 awards is the name I remember, probably based in Indianapolis, that supplied the awards, is there any marking of the manufacturer? My guess is late 80's to early 90's, I handed out a bunch of those through those years!

Hi Don! Thank you very much for your reply. This one doesn't have any marking of the manufacturer.
