I have this old islamic coin, but I've had a hard time identifying it. My knowledge on islamic coins are scarce and I haven't been able to find anything about it while searching.

So hopefully someone here will know something or lead me in the right direction!

So the coin is a thin silver coin. It has a diameter of 30mm.

Sorry, but it's so badly damaged I can't find the date and mint-name. I suspect it is indeed late Abbasid; it has two rings of text on the obverse; this was introduced in AD 833 so it must date from after this and dirhams were not usually this large in diameter until about the reign of al-Muqtadir (AD 908).

Yes, when I compare it to the pictures on the website Petrus provided, the coin looks similar to those. The coin is unfortunately in that state so its hard to exactly identify.
