You could see it when top of watch closed and open. Lucky guy to have this beauty, although it's a little dirty. Triumphs my best lol! Any who, anyone's help is greatly appreciated.

This is still just a somewhat-circulated 1921 Morgan, an issue so common that there are probably as many of 1921's and 1921-D's (each) extant as all other Morgan dates combined, and 1921-S's aren't much scarcer. So, a coin worth not much more than melt aside its' historic interest. Might have been better kept with the watch.
I'm guessing the coin and the watch were contemporary. There's really very little wear on the coin, leading one to believe it went into the watch as a fresh Mint State example.
