TECHNICALLY... it's not a planchet until it's been through the upsetting machine that creates a small rim. Before that it's a blank.

Hey, I have one too. I have yet to post but mine has the slight rim. Curious about value too. I'm sure it's not that much though. My guess is under $25?

It appears to have a mildly upset rim making it a planchet.

Lol, thanks for the info guys and sorry for late response, I fell asleep putting the kiddos down. But I believe I got both sides pictured and Yes, it has a small raised rim.

So the actual error is going to be a Blank Nickel Planchet #1?

Type 1 is a blank (planchet). Type 2 is a planchet with upset rims. I can't tell for sure if yours has a rim or not. Check ebay sold for a value.
