I agree - the bronze versions are tough to collect if you're looking for perfect medals. Proper storage is the key to maintaining a well-made medal, also. I believe their minting these in bronze was to offer an affordable alternative to the gold versions and if this was their goal, a silver version would not have sufficed. I know that I wouldn't have been able to afford the full set if they were silver. As for the size, they were produced at the same diameter as the bronze Miniature Presidential Medal Series. The sets together are quite eye appealing.
