Might be the lighting but they both look real dark. They also lack eye appeal,IMHO

I would think that the severity of the error would be much more appealing than a weaker version

I really can't tell from the images either.

They both LOOK like they have strong rims.

Are you thinking weak strike? Through Grease? For the 'errors?

I do agree they can be classified as 'woodies' though.

Would love to see some better pictures.

EDIT: It also looks as if their is some ( PMD), Post Mint Damage on the 1919.

I think That purple background isn't doing you any favors photo quality wise

I agree, a neutral color would be better.
