Wildwinds describes this as an AE radiate fraction. Sellers picture, it is 18-19mm. Radiate presumably because he is wearing one, but fraction of what? Why not describe it as an AE3? Constantius I, Alexandria, AE radiate fraction. 296-297 AD. FL VAL CONSTANTIVS NOB CAES, radiate, draped, cuirassed bust right. CONCORDIA MIL-ITVM, Constantius standing right, receiving Victory on globe from Jupiter standing left, holding sceptre. Gamma in lower centre. Mintmark ALE. RIC VI Alexandria 48A

If I tried to explain the post radiate fraction concept we would all be more confused so I will quote from a respected FAC member "Otlichnik"
"It is not really the weight that is at issue.
In 294 Diocletian instituted a major coinage reform. The Antoninianus (the late type sometimes called the Aurelianus) was replaced as the predominant coin type by the larger bronze nummus (sometimes called the follis).
This nummus was accompanied by two fractions, struck in lower numbers, the radiate fraction and the rare laureate fraction.
The new post-reform radiate fraction (or PRR) looked almost identical to many of the pre-reform Antoniniani, though it was, as you say, lighter - the PRR was about 3/4 the weight of the late Antoniniani.
One of the easiest ways to tell them apart is that the pre-reform Antoniniani almost always have XXI, often along with other letters, in the exergue, while the PRRs do not. Instead they usually have some mint letters in the lower field like in your image.
So while they look very similar the post-reform radiate fraction is actually a post-Antoniniani coin that filled a very different spot in the coinage system"

I am thinking you have found a specialized 'niche' to concentrate on ?
The coinage of Constantius I ? Nobody can really be expert on all coins. Always good to have an area of expertise !
