I like the roman Imperials poster. That would look good in my office.

For years I've had a framed Parthian attribution chart (with David Sellwood's drawings and calligraphy) on my studio wall. I have rarely actually used it for attribution purposes since I have his book ("The Coinage of Parthia") from which these images are taken - and also because some of the attributions are out-of-date. But the poster is quaint and I've enjoyed its company through the years.

oh wow, that's cool bob. so where did the chart come from? did you piece it together from portions of the book it did it come with a giant coin "centerfold"?

I've thought about those coin poster, I've also thought about just putting some of my favorite coin pics on the wall. print them off on nice paper or something.

Chris, the chart was a limited edition poster that, I would imagine, came out in conjunction with either Sellwood's first edition in the early 1970s or second edition in the early 1980s. Several dealers used to have it listed, but I haven't seen one advertised for years.

I used to check allposters.com occasionally for ancient coin posters but, while they have lots of images available, these days they mostly have "photographic" and "giclee" prints - which are quite expensive.

I would give the western half of my empire for the framed Parthian poster. I do like the ones I can purchase but maybe I can make one.

Crusaders maybe?

Nate, I love the collages you've created and posted here at CCF and over at cointalk from time to time. Very professional. If I was going to choose one of your masterpieces for a poster, however, it might be this one:

I especially like how the Parthians and Elymaeans are presented above the Sassanians, as if they were built on the ashes of Sassania, instead of the other way around. That's my kind of revisionist history.

I also love this Noobpiece:

P.S. Still haven't been able to attribute that odd copper at right center...Doesn't seem to be on acsearch.info or Wildwinds...Will keep trying...
