Slamnbass Pillar of the Community United States 3644 Posts	Posted 07/08/2015 9:58 pm Nickel collector,I just got back from the beach with that exact same detector! I got it last year and haven't had a ton of time to really get the knack until this past couple weeks and it does seem to be a very awesome first timer detector-I'm just now getn used to the settings and able to filter out the bottle caps and tinfoil-more practice will definitely help tho. I found 4 coins this evening of no worth but was exciting just to be able to almost certainly know I had a coin from the beeps before I dug and I was right all 4x so going forward should see better results as I was spending too much of my time digging up worthless garbage... LowLife Valued Member United States 368 Posts	Posted 07/15/2015 10:59 am By filtering out foil you're also filtering out gold......if you're digging foil, pulltabs, etc then you're still in the gold zone. I only filter out iron and dig the rest. Report this Post to the Staff
