The part I am struggling with is the reverse, not sure if there is a symbol ( plant ) in front of the eagle. There also appears to be a double strike on the reverse, the border is out of line or is that just how these coins are ?
TIA for any help

Here is a very useful site that will help you figure out your coin. http://www.ptolemybronze.com/

I see what looks like a control symbol between the legs of the eagles. If that symbols is Kappa that it could be Ptolemy V-VI, Svoronos 1377-K

that's in interesting coin.

I'm going to be of very little help, but it's thin...some of the late ptolemy coins are. I have a similar ptolemy x coin, thin flan and lacking the characteristic dimple. the reverse is strange, it must have been double struck. I think the symbol on in the right field is a cornucopia.

here's my (i think, but not sure) ptolemy x.
