Misattributed Lucius Verus Denarius

Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 06/12/2015 5:24 pm I sort of made up for missing the Maxentius quarter follis by winning this Lucius Verus denarius for $27 this afternoon. The seller had it attributed as Septimius Severus. The reverse is weakly struck, or struck from worn dies, but Verus' bust is very sharp. I do not have a coin of Verus in my collection, but shortly I will. It appears to be RIC #590 with reverse of Aequitas standing holding scales and cornucopiae.
