I have a 1917 coin that I believe may be of German origin. The coin denomination is 50 something, with kleingeldersatzmarke around the top edge. On the other side is an eagle shield, with 1917 on the bottom edge and stadt germersheim around the top edge. I will try to add pictures at a later date, as I do not seem to be able to upload them at the moment.

Germersheim is a town/district in the south-east of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

Pictures of it would be a big help

"Kleingeldersatzmarke" literally translates to "small change substitute token". It's a piece of notgeld, emergency money, issued during WWI by the city of Germersheim. The denomination would be 50 pfennig. Municipal metal tokens from this city are rated as "common" in my notgeld checklist.
