I really have no idea what this is but she mint mark looks sunken the pictures here will show what I mean.

It has to do with the pressure exerted in that one spot, could be a RPM, can you get a close-up of the Mint Mark?

I'm hoping this is close enough for now I still need to find a magnifying glass to get a close up of the mark.

Mikey , your Lincoln has a lot of wear. IMO I think the S is just worn and that's why it looks odd.

T-BOP I wasn't talking about the mint mark I was talking about the depression surrounding it that is what the dark circle is around the S

If this were a high value s mint date I would say check for added mm. But ya just crud that built up from circulation where fingers couldn't touch. Just like the N, O, E & R in the motto

Actually the crud around the S is what drew my attention to this coin in the first place. It is in too perfect a circle and using my mark 1 Mod 0 eyeballs I am still seeing a slight sloping surrounding the S that doesn't show up too well in the photos I took with artificial light but I took some this morning with natural light that might show it better.

too bad I don't have a jewlers loop to check the mint mark closely because that S does look a little funny looking.

To me it appears to be light coin wrapper damage in that area.
