GB-50p-Small-Type-Die-Adjustment-Piece?

While photographing the 50 pence planchets for another CCer, I noticed that one had the faint image of the queen on the obverse and traces of an image on the reverse. The coin weighs 7.99 grams (almost the full spec of 8.00 grams)
