I'd just like to share that I have been somewhat disappointed lately with the grades assigned to many of my recently purchased ICCS certified coins. It's almost as though they've shifted their grading scale up a grade. For example, what once would have been graded PL-65 would now be graded PL-66. All the coins I'm referring to have the three letter prefix beginning with an X. Has anyone else noticed issues similar to this?

I can't say I've seen it myself but it has been discussed here several times over the last couple of years.

I was unaware of the expression "grade creep". After a quick search here on CCF, sure enough, plenty of info on the subject. New expression for my vocabulary. Thanks!

All of the three-letter prefix certificate ICCS coins are suspect in my books. I can't begin to imagine the worthless rag that the pop report will be as people re-submit looking for the new higher grades.
