I have the nearly uncontrollable urge to ct open all of the coins in cello that I can get for one reason; I am afraid that they will wear and become AU just from sliding around in the cello. LOL

Is that just silly or a real concern?
Rest in Peace

They'll only slide around if they are handled too often.
And how do you intend to store them if you release them from the cellophane?

I ten to move every few years so there is that concern. LOL I usually mail most of my collection ahead of me or to family.

I would store the majority in 2x2's and a few in albums.

Just a silly urge I guess. The more recent US mint uncirc sets in blisters do not bother me. LOL

I always cut them open, bathe them in acetone for a bit, then throw them in 2x2's.

Not silly. Do what makes you happy. I prefer my coins in albums, so I support your decision.
