It was well advertised in the numismatic media. The show is 100% scripted. You can walk in the shop and chances are great you will never see any of the "stars". I have bought stuff at the shop and have never dealt with anyone but regular flunkies behind the counters. If you want them to cut the price the flunkie runs to the back to get the "ok". The "stars" hide in the back most of the time. Visit the shop sometimes and see for yourself. Report this Post to the Staff

Thanks to the show the place is not probably a tourist attraction with a whole lot of people coming in just to see the shop. That probably makes it difficult to run the business as it it. If the "Stars" were also there the number of tourists/gawkers would increase even more and probably make it impossible to run the business. Report this Post to the Staff
