The top of the 1 in the Small Date is level with the top of the 9. In the Large Date the top of the 1 is
below the top of the 9.

There are several markers, but after you've seen a few, they just sort of jump out at you without any real study.

It is slabbed as MS66 RD. No mention of small/large date.I am happy with it for only a couple bucks.

I think I should wipe the slab with alcohol or something before I take a picture of another slabbed coin. LOL

That's a fine small date you have there. It's a shame they didn't mark the variety on the slab, but the silver lining is that they over-graded a bit. IMO, the bag mark near his eye would prevent the coin from topping MS63-64, but having that 66 on the slab just gave a huge boost to your coin's value.
