I am guessing it is because of grease ? has only a small blemish on obverse which bites but found it in a roll today and the no period between E and Pluribus is neat. Should I assume its grease?

I didn't even see the ghosting till you said something I have to step back and quit looking so close all the time. I wish you could see all of the toning on this coin with the purples and blues but I don't know how to bring it out in the picture

Nice looking coin, too bad about that scratch on the obverse. That bites.
Nice find!

Tweak, to photograph a feature you see on a coin like toning or a clash (both hard to capture at times), note the angle created by the light, the coin and your eye. This angle must be duplicated with the camera instead of your eye.
A hint, try placing a diffused light source as close to the axis of the lens as possible and tilt the coin slightly towards the light sourse. At a certain point the toning should pop into view

It's a ghoster, wich means the dies were either really worn or too far apart. Also, a weak strike could cause this effect.

Note how the E and PLU are wider than normal. The is because of the grease in the die that blocked only a portion of the devices.
