Well, it looks nice - high AU to MS, but definitely need better pics, especially of the obverse.

I agree that it looks High AU or even MS, but I think we need more focused pictures. The second set of pictures is good in terms of angle, but the focus is a little off

Your second pic is pretty good but, needless to say we need a real good obverse photo with the crown detail. I agree with the others that your coin is high AU or low MS but.. got to have that other pic, thanks. Edit.. While I was typing you were showing your new pics..still not good enough, have to have up closer photos..we are a fussy bunch aren't we..

Definitely getting better - I'm thinking more like a very clean EF to AU now, but that could change!

very weakly struck VF 30 to EF 40. This quality easily available at the 5 to ten dollar mark. better than what you normally find.

This is not a VF to EF coin. It is weakly struck AU. The rims, reverse elements and lustre all speak AU to me.
If I see a like this coin at a show with a $5-$10 price tag on it - I snap them up!!

SPP is right, but I wouldn't pay more than VF-30 prices for one like that.

And there you have it! This has to be the toughest series of classic Canadian coins to grade. Trouble is it may be a weak strike AU as Roger says but to get better than VF 30 money, probably will not happen. This is one series that could easily be market graded ,a la our American cousins and their Grading services.

Not a chance this coin gets a AU from ICCS. At the very best a EF. Lustre?... what lustre.
