Hi There, I have recently come into a number of coins given to me by my father, he has had these all his life and I'm sure everyone will know why he has given them to me without going into much detail. I will be looking into what coins I have been given as I go along, but I thought I would make a start by finding out about this strange Two Pence piece that is much lighter than a usual 2p, to start with it seems to be printed on a 1p Thickness metal. I have taken pictures of this coin, and next to a regular one as well to show the thickness. I have been looking around the internet with no luck, but only found a reference on here which explained that a 2p has been put in ACID for some reason to take off the edge, like in cola or Lemon etc... but I don't know, it is possible, but here are the pictures anyhow...

I have checked it against a 1p and the thickness matches, but I have not taken a photo of that just now. This coin is dated 1986.
Any Ideas Please :)
