It is a commemorative medal and not a coin.
Regarding the second image, the inscription at the top translates as "Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China".
The three character inscription in the middle translates as "Jinggang Mountains".
The Jinggang Mountains are important as the birthplace of the Chinese Red Army. You can read more
here.
This side of the medal displays the
Jinggangshan Monument with the Jinggang Mountains in the background.
The inscription at the bottom translates as "Passing Down the Jinggang Red Flag from Generation to Generation".
At the very bottom appears to be a serial number. I have no idea how many of these commemorative medals were produced but it looks like there were at least 920,456.
Regarding the first image, the Jinggang Mountains are at the bottom.
At the top is a quotation from Mao Zedong.
Unfortunately, his calligraphy is too difficult for me to read.
