Beware of counterfeits! A new "Bay Area" counterfeit mimics the die polishing lines found on a genuine 1955 Doubled Die, but the surfaces and the edge display mico-porosity which is NOT characteristic of a genuine example.
Sources and/or recommended reading:
"1955 Doubled Die Cent - New Bay Area Fake Type Surfaces" by Michael Fahey, Coin World, June 7, 2010, p. 44

Why are they saying all this garbage? To make it look like the coin has die polishing lines?

This "coin" is absolutely garbage. I feel like making 10 fake accounts for reporting fakes. (witch I won't do)

He's saying that to comfort a suspected newb buyer like a luliby. It says to them "hey this must not be fake because the seller is telling me how to look out for a fake". Reverse psychology in a sense

"You will get a 1955 double die Lincoln Wheat penny. This is an extremely rare penny and highly sought after. It's in great condition but I will let the pictures speak to the quality."

Let me translate: "I just purchased 100 of these fakes from the website who will not be named and your coin will be one of them, not the one pictured necessarily, but all of them look identical, so no worries!

Please hand over your hard earned cash so I can pay off my drug dealer, because my meth addiction is the only logical explanation for me trying this idiot idea!"

I sometimes wonder if those sellers are doing stuff like this for a joke. Yet sometimes those sell.
