$15.78 is the current price of silver right now. Should I buy a Monster Box or should I wait? Do you think it will continue to go down or is it about to start rising?

Ummm without hesitation that would be Number Johnny-5... he craves input!
It's tuff to say as we're gearing up for an election year. Will it go much lower? I don't think so. If you're planning on kepping it for years as a pm investment or hedge I say there is minimal risk. If you wanna flip it fast you could loose or make a grand +/- depending on fluctuations.

How about getting one from CRHing? Hopes aside ( ), I don't know your craving for silver, but for a fair asking price I'd do it. I personally think silver will slowly recover after the latest dip (for me atleast, haven't checked exchange rates for a while).

Quote: Hopes aside I am 1/500 ahead of you. I found a 2003 silver eagle at the bank for face value. I hope I find more than just that. I have found about nothing. Go ahead and buy it. Cascade pretty much said everything. In addition ases will keep their premium.

I hope I find more than just that. I have found about nothing. Nah, I haven't tried out CRHing, and I don't expect anything here either despite silver exists out there. Circulation gives essentially nothing either except from the occasional finds. Low mintages and silver are scarce but keeps me checking my everyday change

If you have $8000 to park, why not ? It is like any investment. If you are thinking short term roll over, then no, but even if silver rebounds to $20, you are still looking at $2000 profit. Just remember, while it is easy to buy a monster box, finding some one else with $10,000 to park, is not an easy selling task.
To ask for opinions is great, everyone has one around here, to ask for guidance ......... well everyone has their opinions. Despite self indulgent charts and graphs to the contrary, anyone predicting the future price of silver is just guessing
Rule of thumb, when people feel good about the dollar, they run from PM's. When people bad about the state of the economy, they run to PM's.

Yes silver seems like a good buy right now. Nobody knows for sure but remember Buy low Sell high. Did you sell silver while it was in the $40+ range. I did and now I'm a buyer again. Good Luck

Big disaster in buying a monster box in this kind of market right now and you will regret it even more when you see prices go even lower as silver prices drop more and you realize you could have bought that box for even less.
Commodities are not investments. Anyone who wishes to tell you otherwise is completely and utterly out of touch with how markets work. Furthermore, buying any asset, especially an asset such as a commodity, in this case silver, that is in a clear downtrend in price is asking for problems. Your risk on your purchase of that box is greater to the downside than potential upside return.
Contrary to what you have been told wrongly by Denco, correlations come and go in the marketplace. I have seen the dollar and PMs go up, I have seen the dollar go down and PMs go down and so on. Again, their is no rule of thumb, rather, correlations come and go.
Another misconception is "buy low and sell high". Where is low enough to avoid it going lower on you? Also, selling high because something has moved higher is wrong. Unfortunately the public has been taught that you must buy low and sell it higher. Everyone was saying silver was a deal when it feel to 30. Everyone said silver was low at 25. Everyone said silver was a great steal at 20. Guess what happened to all those people that said that or the poor unfortunate folks who bought at those levels,,, they are still underwater at this point. Do not make the mistake of buying silver thinking that it is low right here and will not go lower.
I would finally say this. Everyone is here telling you "yea go ahead and buy it." But would they really do it with their own money? The other problem is that here on these forums, you will get answers that suffer from bias confirmation and on a PM forum, you are going to get a bias towards buying it rather than being cautious.
In the end it is your money but you are taking a great risk that the money you put into that box shrinks even more on you and then you will have to deal with remorse.

Thanks Yup, I understand what you are saying. My point of view is: since 2008 the Federal Reserve is printing too many dollars. So like it or not your money is depreciating like it or not. Silver and gold have been around forever so I'm buying for the long term. I actually feel sorry for those that believe in the dollar.
