I got this recently as a plain slabbed ms63 Morgan but the die cracks were really pronounced. I did a little googling and it seems that these aren't that uncommon though I haven't seen any 1899 o that have them this obvious and pronounced. At first I thought it was a gouge through the coin but it's a great big silver mountain range. It's Pretty much the whole way around the lettering, I can't decide if it makes the coin interesting enough to offset the damage to the immediate impact of the coin (love nice Morgans, big real money coins).
Are these a little like VAMs where you can to some extent trace the coin to a particular die and a period of time as they changed and the cracks hot bigger?
It looks a little more obvious in person, I might Crack out the proper macro gear tomorrow. I'd love to see some more examples of anyone has pictures of others with even bigger die cracks.
