"The Senate on Thursday cleared legislation authorizing the U.S. Mint to produce a series of coins commemorating the nonprofit's 100th anniversary in 2017. It's now headed to President Barack Obama's desk.

The bill calls for the mint to produce a series of $5 gold coins, $1 silver coins and half-dollar coins"
