Let me say first, however, that I am concerned about one aspect of your story. In 1957, it was illegal in Turkey (and it still is illegal in Turkey) to export a genuine ancient artifact without a permit, and permits weren't easy to come by for the average tourist. On the other hand, fake and replica artifacts were (and still are) perfectly legal. So all I'm saying is, be prepared for the experts here to say "Sorry, but it's a replica" - since the vast majority of coins bought by tourists in Turkey end up proving to be replicas.
