This cent came from a mint bag and its not the extra spine but I call it the extra knuckle.Any of our members have one like this.

Thank you rocky as I have 1000 1964 coppers buried somewhere and only found a few with the extra metal at the end.

doctorman1941 I am wondering could that be a chip. it might be that they had changed the die. well I have a few here as well I will check them later. nice find have a great one
