In God We Trust and some in Liberty. Hairline too by his ear and back of his neck maybe. But maybe it's from the deep strike

but this otherwise looks normal to me. Proof luster makes picture taking difficult, but play with the lighting and things will improve. Also, make sure you are anchored to a solid object with the camera phone. Steadiest shots bring out the details you wish examined. Good luck.

The question of grading a coin gets asked a lot. I think there are 3 major reasons that you would grade a coin.

To add value - would grading this coin, enhance it's value beyond the cost of the grading fees? I don't think so.

To authenticate a rare or collectible coin for piece of mind/ future resale . This coin is neither rare, exceedingly collectible or commonly counterfeited

To attribute a variety or a valuable error. Since no double dies have ever be attributed to this year, more than likely, upon closer inspection, any doubling will be Machine Doubling, which is common and adds no value to the coin.

Doubling issue is hampered by glare. Hard to tell for sure.

Worth grading I'll leave to the nickel experts. That said when I see nickel and grade mentioned in the same sentence I think show me the steps, show me the steps. And bang the last pic shows steps.

I read full steps are harder to find on early Jefferson's and command a higher premium. So may be worth holding onto for now. Thanks, Doug.

looks like a proof to me and full steps are the norm I think for them but to send it off I dont think so.
