1955 Poor Mans DDO Vs 1955 DDO (Help)

Hello I just found A 1955 cent and it seems it has major doubling in the last five and a little bit in the 1(9)(5)*5* and in (L)(I)(B)(E)R T Y. can someone tell me If its the real deal and whats it worth

I also found in that same batch a 1968 D/D whats the value of that

We need pics to determine if it is real. In addition, there were other doubled dies than the big one, we need pics to tell witch one it is, if at all one.

There were lots of RPMs in all the years. We would ned pics to determine witch one it is.

Simple Die Deterioration Doubling. The dies used in the 50's were used way passed their prime and when that happens, you can find some funky doubling on the 50s Wheaties.

Some of us call it a poormans double die, where the last 5 is somewhat doubled. not worth a premium.
The 68-d needs bigger and closer photos to tell D/D.

And the Poorman's Doubled die is NOT a doubled die. Just the result of Die Deterioration.

It is amazing on how many of those there are. At one time I tried to collect enough of them to make an entire roll. And although called the poor man's double die, they do sell for a bit more than people say. In MS grades they do sell for about $10. Even those in less of a grade will go for from $2 to $10 also. Mostly sold as a novelty but people do buy them.
