I just saw this listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mixed-Lot-o...em1ea0bc130a

Which claims to be a mixed lot with "silver" coins. As far as I can tell there are no silver (as in the metal) coins, but some do have a silver color. Is this allowed by ebay?

I don't know I just know silver is not a legal term and can denote color though it's dishonest. Sterling is a legal term and by law must be 92.5%.

I don't believe so. It's the same way that sellers can claim to have dug up historical coins from colonial sites even though the coins came from other sources.

Did you let the seller know that none of the coins are silver? Some people really don't know...

Honestly, I didn't think to contact the seller - I'll consider doing that in the future.
